McDonalds new look

Mc Donalds is upgrading their image and rebranding itself. Their new (now already old) slogan is "I'm lovin' it". Not sure how successful it is, but as far as I remember, their revenue slide has been stopped.

In course of this action, they also upgrade their restaurants. It looks more classy, right?

I have the feeling that their menu has also changed - the sets only contain two sizes - regular and large -, while earlier, I was able to able to get my Big Mac in small size.

The big question with rebranding is - how is the customer perceiving it? Does something really change, like, the food delivery is on time? Or does service still suck and long queues of impatient customers build up?

They now have 24-hours drivethru services. And sometimes if you dine-in they offer refills of Coke, coffe and tea.

I think they're more customer-centric than they were compared to last year. I'm beginning to enjoy it very much. Especially since a new branch opened up just 10 minutes from home :p

It is about time Mcdonald do something about their image. Their service sux, at least in Kuching, and the workers a slow like snails man. They spend more time chatting and joking with each other rather than attending to their customers' needs.

Maaaan. I haven't been to McD's in ages. Looks a little more adult that the previous look.

That doesn't look like a fast food restaurant. Are you sure they have scrapped the small size or did they just label small as regular for the customers who think "small" is just way too little?

In the US, McDonald's is now a 24 hour venture(now, there should be laws against 24 hours because it allows more people to indulge in unhealthy food) and they also accept credit cards. Standard of service remains the same though - uninspired teen workers.

Can you guys confirm if they take the soft drink out of the Value Meal?

I'm alright with their service. Still acceptable, but at the McD's branch that I frequent, a grumpy, unsmiling worker is usually stationed at the sundae machine. Which is a bit of a letdown, considering ice-cream and sundaes are supposed to be a, uhm, happy thing, and the majority of their customers are children.

very similar to the McD furnitures in some London stores (not that I enter though) ;)

you can actually still get the small size, if you request for it. i do like the changes made to new fast food restaurants, and i don't think service is that bad. it's no longer fast and cheap, it's now fast and classy.
